Marketing Compass Back to site

Privacy Policy

Effective date · July 6, 2026

This policy explains what information Marketing Compass (“Marketing Compass,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects through marketingcompass.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose: the Site exists to share information, deliver a free checklist, and let you book a free consultation. We collect only what those things require.

01Information you provide

When you use the forms on the Site, we collect the information you enter. Depending on the path you take, that may include your name, your email address, your website address, and your answers to short questions about your business and its marketing, such as your approximate monthly marketing spend, the type of business you run, and what is frustrating you about your marketing.

If you book a consultation, scheduling is handled by Calendly, which collects your name, email address, and the time you select. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

02Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site and our service providers collect certain information automatically, including IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. We also use the Meta Pixel, described below, which collects information about your visit and your interactions with the Site.

03Cookies and advertising technology

The Site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser, measure whether our advertising works (for example, recording that a visitor requested the checklist or booked a call), and build audiences so we can show relevant ads on Meta platforms to people who visited the Site. This is commonly called retargeting.

You can limit this in several ways: adjust your cookie settings in your browser or block third-party cookies entirely; manage your ad preferences directly with Meta in your Facebook or Instagram settings; use industry opt-out tools such as those at aboutads.info; or contact us at the address below and ask us to exclude your information from our advertising audiences where we are able to do so.

04How we use information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

05How we share information

We share information only with the service providers that make the Site work, and only for the purposes described here: Formspree (form processing), Calendly (scheduling), Netlify (website hosting), Google Workspace (email), and Meta (advertising measurement and audiences). Each processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale of the business.

Sharing information with Meta for advertising purposes may be considered “targeted advertising” or “sharing” under some U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out using the methods in Section 03.

06How long we keep information

We keep information as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes above: lead and inquiry information while our conversation with you remains active or relevant, correspondence for our records, and advertising data for as long as the associated tools retain it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.

07Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under state privacy laws, which can include the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, or opt out of targeted advertising. We extend these choices to everyone as a matter of practice, whether or not a specific law applies: email us at hello@marketingcompass.com and we will act on your request after verifying it, normally within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

08Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, and we deliberately collect very little. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09Children

The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 as defined by COPPA. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10Third-party sites and services

The Site links to services we do not control, such as the Calendly booking page. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to read them.

11United States operation

Marketing Compass operates from the United States and the Site is directed to businesses in the United States. If you access the Site from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be reasonably highlighted. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
