MarketingCompass FIX LIST

Month 2 of service
Prepared by Erich  ·  Marketing Compass LLC
4 fixes found this month. Ranked most costly first. Plain English on purpose. Yours to keep, or hand straight to whoever runs your marketing.
Fix these
Every item below is something we verified ourselves. Nothing here is a guess, and nothing here is something we sell.
1
Google Ads is billing you for clicks it isn't measuring
There's no conversion action connected to the account. Nobody can tell which of your ads produce phone calls or form fills, and neither can Google, so its bidding is guessing on your behalf. This is the most expensive item on the list.
Evidence: 0 conversion actions configured in the account, 16 active creatives currently serving.
WHAT TO DOCreate a conversion action for phone calls and one for form submissions, then set the campaign to optimize against them. About 30 minutes of work.
Who does it: whoever manages your Google Ads account. If nobody does, this is the first thing to hand a vendor.
2
Your Facebook ads run without a pixel on the site
You have active Facebook and Instagram ads, but there's no Meta pixel on the website they point to. Nobody who clicks gets tracked, none of them can be retargeted, and Meta has no conversion data to learn from, so you pay full price for every click.
Evidence: 2 active Meta ads confirmed in the Ad Library; 0 requests to Meta's tracking endpoint on page load.
WHAT TO DOInstall the base pixel through your existing tag manager and confirm it fires on the thank-you page, not just the homepage.
Who does it: your web person. Takes one deploy.
3
Two of your three tracking containers are abandoned
Three separate tag manager containers load on your site. Former vendors left two behind. One still carries an analytics tag Google shut off in 2023, which means any report built from it has been wrong for two years.
Evidence: 3 containers detected on page load; retired property ID UA-4471203-1 still installed alongside your live GA4 property.
WHAT TO DORemove the two containers you don't control and delete the retired tag. Keep the one your current team has access to.
Who does it: your web person, after you confirm which container is yours.
4
Your headquarters address is wrong in the places that decide local ranking
Your site lists one office as headquarters, but the suite number and street belong to your second location. Search engines treat a mismatched address as a different business, which is why you don't show up for searches near your own office.
Evidence: address on the site doesn't match the address filed on your Google Business Profile for the same office.
WHAT TO DOPick one exact format for each office, then make the site, Google Business Profile, and your directory listings say it identically.
Who does it: you or your office manager. No vendor needed.
Checked, no fix needed: your search campaign structure
Tight, well organized, and we're not going to invent a reason to touch it. When something passes our check, we say so. It's why you can trust everything above.
From last month
We don't drop a fix until it's closed. Anything still open rolls forward.
FixStatusNote

Homepage had no meta description DONE Verified in the page source.
Call tracking on the contact page OPEN Rolled forward. Waiting on your phone vendor, not on you.
Rewrite the three generic ad headlines WITH COMPLIANCE Submitted to your compliance team. Not counted against this month.
The guarantee, in writing. We found 4 fixes this month, so your Fix List earned its keep. If a month ever comes where we can't find you a single fix worth making, that month is on us. That call is ours to make, and if that month ever comes, we'll tell you before you ask.
How to read this. Fixes are ranked by what they cost you, not by how hard they are. Start at 1. You don't need to do all of them this month.

One thread back. Reply to this email with questions about any finding and you get a real answer within two business days. Not a ticket queue.
